I've ordered his book "death by black hole" and pre-ordered his book about Pluto (the planet eh plutoid). I think he's great in making people enthousiastic about space and science.

Het probleem van de IMEI activatie is dus NIET opgelost, ondanks dat T-mobile dit op hun blog meld.. Geen enkel indirect sales kanaal kan uitleveren om deze problemen. Dit zijn dus alle APRs, Media Markts en die andere zaken. T-Mobile wil niets kwijt over wanneer het probleem opgelost zal zijn. Tot die tijd kan er nergens iets uitgeleverd worden (muv de direct sales T-mobile shops) Zeer slechte zaak T-Mobile! Problemen is 1 ding, maar hierover niet communiceren is nog erger.A few weeks ago I was in the South of Germany and even though most
nights weren't very good I was able to view the skies at some point in
time. Where I live, light pollution destroys the view of the Milky Way
mostly, but in the Alps, the skies were dark and I was excited to see
the Milky Way across the whole sky. It's amazing.
I tried to capture it in a couple of photos (luckily I had a tiny travel
tripod with me), here's a sample:
You can see the Milky Way between the two trees, rising frmo the
mountain top in the background. Unfortunately behind me there was a
street light, so the trees are actually brighter than I'd like them to
be.. Oh well, the experience is burned into my brain of course.
