I think I am starting to get the idea behind the Microsoft ads. They released a new one:

Now it's starting to make sense. I thought the first one was kind of shitty, because of lack of subject. However, the second one reminds me very much of some ads we see overhere, where a nice family enjoys eachother. Except in this/these ads, Gates/Seinfeld are kind of the "intruders" observing what makes the "normal" people tick. Desperately trying to fit in and failing miserable. But still just normal people.

Actually kind of cool if you think about it. At least it goes a bit deeper than the boring "hey I'm a PC, I suck" ads from Apple.

So, I take my comments back, the ads are actually pretty good and amusing.
