I was a bit shocked to read the announcement that Mark Hoekstra died from a heart attack at the age of 34 last Wednesday. His site http://geektechnique.org was one of my favorite weekly visits on the internet. Apart from his site he was working for Bright, a dutch gadget en trend magazine. His last venture was the expo "Hacking Ikea".
The Mac and SGI hacks community will miss him dearly, so will a lot of casual readers of his blog and articles. Rest in Peace Mark. Source:TUAW

Slowly preparing for Photokina. Photokina 2008 is the biggest and one of the most important photography related event in europe, if not in the world. Anyway, I'll be joining the Bibble Labs crew presenting their new Bibble 5 version to the public.
If you're in the area, it's worth visiting Photokina, not only if you're an equipment geek, but also to see some really great photography exposed.
And I miss it already.. sigh.
I'll keep a countdown/up towards the moment I'll get it back. If I'm optimistic I'd say 2 weeks. Realistically I guess it could take up to 6 weeks or even more. I wish T-Mobile would just swap the damn thing instead of trying to repair it (or pretending to do so)
