I like this lens. Very long focus throw (old-fashioned, almost). One niggle: lens hood is screw-in type, so lens cap won't fit anymore once the hood is on. Sigh.
FWIW, I didn't buy the original ($35,-) lens hood but a third party $5,50 equivalent metal hood.
