What is it with those people? Don't they see video can just as well be used for creative artistic works as photography?
And yes, video will also have the home-shot semi porn flicks. But come on, have you looked in the picture collections some people on flickr have? Lots of self-shots showing ugly private parts or worse.
Both media can be abused, but one should not focus on that. Focus on the opportunity that is created here! A whole new world of creative expression is available on flickr. Make use of it, instead of complaining that it doesn't belong on flickr!
Photography and Videography are just tools to create art. They can live together happily.
