Yesterday evening I watched "North Korea Undercover" on National Geographic and this reminded me of my trip to Pyong Yang in 2001 (just after 9./11 attacks). I remembered I took a few items with me back home and kept them as a souvenir. Among those, a newspaper. Here are scans from "The Pyong Yang Times" dated 22 september 2001. As you can see, lots of propagandistic stuff, and a very small item on the 9/11 attacks (which was 11 days ago then.. The world news channels were still full of it). Anyway, I hope you like them. A small warning, the full size images are 2000 pixels in height, so you may want to save them locally before viewing. As far as DPRK goes.. I am determined to go back again. But I'm not sure when and how. Time will tell.
